WHAT WE DO

This November, the West End Micro Music Festival presents its 4th annual season, REVELATIONS. Join us as we bring together Toronto’s most creative performers for 4 electrifying performances of ecstatic and celestial music through two concert programs.

ECSTATIC VOICES envisions a new context for the eight-voice choir. Featuring bold, sensual works for voices, this performance subverts expectation for the choir; bending, twisting, and mutating historical forms into new shapes and gestures.

In I Saw A New Heaven, the astral washes of sound from an electric guitar join the plaintive sounds of a lone voice. Accompany an ensemble of Toronto's most creative artists as they reach for a new sonic landscape -- a conceptual space at the meeting point of the sublime, the supernatural, and the avant-garde.

 

Exploring the shared spaces between contemporary art and classical music, WEMMF creates new avenues for the presentation of audacious performances in Toronto’s West End.
